Reasons Why ALL Women Should Vote

Use your voice and vote!

What a perfect time for this country to come together and put people in office that will support the American people.

Reasons why ALL women should vote.

If 56% of the people vote, and it takes a majority for a candidate to win, that means only 29% of the votes elect our officials.  This leaves half the country not speaking their say, and the rest of us live by the vote of another.

As you see from the table, women have the power.  If every woman would vote, can you imagine the results we would see?

What woman has not experienced the degradation and intimidation by a man? Heaven forbid, even the President puts us in our place. It is safe to say, at some point, every woman in this country has been put down and treated like she does not matter.

The numbers of sexual assault victims are much higher than we care to admit.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual-5 (DSM-5) is the handbook for mental health professionals.  Although many professionals doubt the validity of using this for diagnosing, it holds interesting information regarding trauma.  As strange as it may sound, I read this manual from cover to cover in my search for a thread of commonality among all the diagnoses.

The commonality is childhood abuse.  Every diagnosis carries a history of 100% abuse; 3 out of 4 patients report sexual abuse.  Never trust statistics.  The numbers you see are reported cases.  The people that visit a therapist to relieve their symptoms give us a more accurate scenario.

Abuse knows no boundaries, but those with social privilege bring grief to us all.

They deny what is happening underneath their very noses, and bring us nonsense programs that do nothing to help us.  Instead, they make our lives more difficult.

Vote, Ladies.  Your vote counts.

There is no electoral college when electing members to Congress.  Your vote also counts a great deal on the local level.

What would happen if all 72% of the women who were registered to vote showed up to the polls?  What would happen if the other 28% would register and vote?

Do you have a lone-running candidate that has been in office for years?  There is a way to get him out.

Show up to vote, and do not vote for this candidate.  If they do not get the majority of the votes, they do not win.

Leave their box blank.

Show up to the polls, and leave their ballot box blank.  Your “no” vote counts against them.

If we all use this simple legal means of un-electing these officials that have positioned themselves because no one ever runs against them, the people would very quickly take control of the country.

Do not support those people who think sexual abuse, or any kind of mistreatment, is okay.  This is our time to be heard.  This is our time to stand up and say,

“No way are you going to put me down again!”

Voting is the last American right we seem to have.  Do not be discouraged and not vote.  Vote for the other guy, or don’t vote for anyone, but show up and vote.

If you cannot make it to the polls, request an absentee ballot from your local clerk.

Whatever you do, however you do it.  VOTE!
